Product details

Traditional Hexagonal Lacquered Serving Tray by Cheyul. Material: Wood, Myeonsil, ottchil lacquer. Size: W155 x D155 x H20 (mm). Since ancient times, Sumyeong-Jangsu (壽命長壽) has represented the most profound wish of parents for their child—a prayer that they may overcome life’s storms and enjoy a long, healthy life, as enduring and unbroken as a single, long thread. CHEYUL’s Hexagonal Tray is a masterpiece that reinterprets this noble sentiment through a modern aesthetic. The meticulous process of winding cotton thread, row by row without interruption, embodies a season of "patient devotion"—a heartfelt wish for the child’s lifeline to stretch on forever. Whether it is a ceremony to bless a precious child’s future or a quiet moment of serving refined tea, CHEYUL’s Hexagonal Tray will bring a sense of dignity and warmth to the occasion. Cheyul is a Seoul atelier making lacquer and mother-of-pearl tableware, objects and jewellery by hand; made-to-order pieces can take 3–6 weeks.
