Both the interior and exterior are meticulously wrapped in natural hemp and finished with a unique Ottchil (lacquer) technique—blending lacquer with stone powder to create a mysterious and ethereal depth of color. Cheyul is a Seoul atelier making lacquer and mother-of-pearl tableware, objects and jewellery by hand; made-to-order pieces can take 3–6 weeks.
