It is woven from a premium, eco-friendly Japanese wood-based fiber boasting a 50-year tradition. While the material is water and stain-resistant for daily use, care should be taken with colored beverages to avoid discoloration. Cheyul is a Seoul atelier making lacquer and mother-of-pearl tableware, objects and jewellery by hand; made-to-order pieces can take 3–6 weeks.
